I hold a bacherlor's degree in the teaching of English and Spanish as second languages and I also have a TESOL certificate. I've taught online and in classrooms to kids and adult learners. Hello, I'm Anaïs ! Native french but I've lived quite some times abroad, including 5 years in Canada! I've worked for various schools; whether in France, Canada and Japan. I have experience working with children and with adults. I went to College both in Canada and in France, where I graduated from Sorbonne University in International Cooperation (Master's degree). Before that I studied in Intercultural Communication and I traveled around the world to understand other cultures. I recently became TEFL certified in order to teach English in France because in fact, I love teaching, as much as I do love languages! I also have an intermediate Spanish level and a beginner Japanese level. - ABOUT THE CLASS -
I offer German language lessons for A1, A2, B1, B2 level and they include everything you need: grammar, speaking, listening audio, reading, writing and for some fun: games and role plays :)
This is ideal for students who want actively participate and speak more, learn new words and exercise the grammar.

All learning materials and exercises are included and will be provided during the lesson.
The learning material is from various books: Schritte International, Menschen, Sicher im Alltag und Beruf, Begegnungen, ....

If you wish to have only conversational lessons, I can arrange this also for you (only available for B1 and B2 level).

My mother language is Dutch and I mainly teach Dutch nowadays.

I have been teaching English for more than 10 years both to adults and kids from 6 years old. I'm not a native speaker, but my level is near-native and I have a good accent.

Working with children I always try to involve them in the process of learning, to make sure they are interested. I also create atmosphere, so that kids could feel safe and free to play and learn while playing. They are free to make mistakes, that’s why they improve. My role is to give them the right direction and support.

I'm Poppy, 21, from England and I'm currently studying English, French and Spanish at Uni in Strasbourg, France.
I studied up until the age of 18 in Britain and am now living a bilingual life here in France, so I know the obstacles when it comes to learning a foreign language.

I have a qualification in teaching English (TEFL) and have been teaching for the past 6 months on another English-learning website called Cambly where i have met people from all over the world, some total beginners in English and others close to fluency.

I like students to be at ease during classes and the best way to do that, in my opinion, is to build a friendship and speak about the topics which interest them most, but of course in English! I am very flexible and sometimes read news articles with students which lead to discussions or Youtube videos from their favourite youtuber. The most important thing is to inspire the student to start speaking- once he/she does, we can start correcting their mistakes.

I also like to show students why being bilingual is such an amazing skill to have and how it can change your life prospects.

I love travelling and have been fortunate enough to work as an overseas representative, and then manager, for British tour operators in such diverse places as Bulgaria, Spain, Jamaica, Italy, Austria, Paris, Thailand and Cancún, where our objective was always to provide the best possible service to our customers, the holidaymakers.
I then stayed in Cancún, spending over 15 years with Mexico’s principal travel company in the growing e-commerce sector, specialising in online sales and reservations, customer care and corporate travel.
Times are changing and looking for a new challenge I have taken the opportunity this year to add to my skills and have obtained certificates in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and Teaching English Online. I’m really looking forward to putting these to good use in helping you to improve your English vocabulary, grammar and conversational skills.
