My name is Martin and I am coming from a tiny country in the Northern Europe called Estonia. One of my biggest hobbies is teaching and educating others, that is why for the past 3 years I have been living and working in Istanbul while teaching English to different age groups: kindergarten, school, university as well as adults. I have had students from Beginners to Advanced as well as several businessmen and CEOs of international companies located in Istanbul. I am originally from Reggio Emilia and I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Italian, English and German. Both degrees were obtained at the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW in Winterthur (in 2014 and 2016). For 12 years, I have been teaching Italian privately and tutoring adults and children of different nationalities (including Italians), from a beginner to an academic level. From a linguistic point of view, my strengths are an in-depth knowledge of Italian grammar plus "verbal creativity" (use of synonyms, different levels of connotation and register, specialized languages, ...).

My aim is to help my students reach their goals, whatever it might be. I don't insist too much on the achievement of certain levels (A/B/C), but I focus on the needs and preferences of each individual, which can range in any direction (from writing without mistakes to widening your vocabulary to getting by on holiday in Italy to understanding the logic behind a language ...).
