I have completed my Bachelors of Science in The Netherlands, and my Masters of Science in the UK. I have thereafter completed my TEFL course in Cambodia and I now teach in Mexico to a kindergarten class for children aged between 4 and 6. We speak and teach English language, conversation, math and reading. I'm aware that every student has their own needs, and know how everybody learns at their own pace. It is nice to meet you and I would be more than glad to discuss your learning goals in a trail lesson of 30 minutes so we could know each other better. I have a level 3 award in Education by YMCA, where I have planned and delivered a lesson on the topic Bulgarian alphabet to English students. On the other hand I am currently finishing my study in Bulgarian Linguistics and Literature at the Sofia's university. I spent a few years in England where I have been a Learning assistant for ESOL classes, which is teaching English as a second language. I also have a degree from University of Sheffield in Business Administration.
Before starting the lessons we will have to do an assessment to see the level of the student. Once this is done and our goals are set, even if it is for a few lessons only, we will adapt the student centered methodology. The lessons will be interactive, with a participative style -grammar rules will be discussed, speaking , writing and vocabulary.

I am originally from Reggio Emilia and I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Italian, English and German. Both degrees were obtained at the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW in Winterthur (in 2014 and 2016). For 12 years, I have been teaching Italian privately and tutoring adults and children of different nationalities (including Italians), from a beginner to an academic level. From a linguistic point of view, my strengths are an in-depth knowledge of Italian grammar plus "verbal creativity" (use of synonyms, different levels of connotation and register, specialized languages, ...).

My aim is to help my students reach their goals, whatever it might be. I don't insist too much on the achievement of certain levels (A/B/C), but I focus on the needs and preferences of each individual, which can range in any direction (from writing without mistakes to widening your vocabulary to getting by on holiday in Italy to understanding the logic behind a language ...). To do this, I set a first meeting exclusively to understand language level, difficulties, objectives, and deadlines of the person in front of me. This is the starting point to create a customized programme. This way, nobody will get bored: my student will play an active role in the learning process, having fun and falling more and more in love with the bella lingua :-)

My teaching techniques include an "entry test" to understand the student's linguistic "weaknesses", training in listening, reading, speaking, and writing and a "final test" to check improvements and learning pace. I select teaching materials with the students so that they are based on students preferences. These teaching materials might include translations, dictation exercises, dialogues, songs, videos (taken also from YouTube, Instagram, FB...), reading books and magazines. I am available for both live and online lessons.

I am originally from Ecuador and hence Spanish is my native language. However, I also speak English fluently because I studied my entire undergraduate program in the UK. During my time there, I also had the chance to work in my university and my role involved working with students from all over the world on a daily basis and help them to develop new skills, engage in extracurricular activities and even helping them to find internships and work placements. I also volunteered in a university society as a Spanish teacher.
