Hello. I am Kate. Born and raised in Siberia, Russia, I've always been crazy about languages. I had English at school, then learnt Chinese at university in China (4 years of study), then Italian in Italy. I started teaching Russian as a foreign language 5 years ago when I moved to China. My experience in learning languages helps me understand my students better. Besides using communicative activities, presentations, videos and other available materials, I often develop my own activities and worksheets based on authentic texts or videos.     Lithuanian language is one of the Baltic countries languages. Some people are travelling to Lithuania, some of them are working or studying over there. So it's really good to know how to say very simple words, as hello, how are you, good mornng, thank you, you're welcome, where, how and etc. It's necessary because the main language is Lithuanian in that country 

    I am lithuanian and was learning other languages. So I can understand you very well, how do you feel in foreign country without language. You want to say something, ask or express yourself, but you can't. I would like to teach you. I like helping people and I have almost 10 years experience in teaching with different age people from different countries and culturies. Hello! My name is Deborah! I am a language instructor. I teach Italian, English and Bulgarian. I have more than 15 years teaching experience, both face-to-face and online to individual as well as to small and large groups. At the moment I am teaching Italian in a private school in Sofia, Bulgaria- where I lived for more than 10 years. I teach English to students ready to move to English speaking countries for work, and to students who need Еnglish for their career. I also prepare students for exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE), and I offer language courses for communication and travelling purposes.
I attended the College (tourism) in Lucca-Italy. I have a diploma in Secretarial and Business Administration from the South Kensington and Chelsea Collage in London- (I lived in London few years ago). I have a TEFL certificate -grade A.  and an ECL certificate in Bulgarian C1 with 96/100. Therefore, I have a good knowledge of how languages work and I can provide my students with helpful insight. Teaching is my passion, and I am constantly in search for new methods to help my students to get through the challenges and the difficults when learning a new language.

I will be delighted to help you learn Bulgarian. I am originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. I am passionate about languages; I am fluent in English and Spanish, Czech and Slovenian. I have helped many foreigners now living in Bulgaria to better understand and speak with confidence in their social environment. I am always interested in their motivation to learn Bulgarian and I adapt myself completely to the needs and tastes of each student. My teaching style is very communicative, I teach through dialogues, and real situations so my students start speaking from the very first lesson. I make my classes fun and enjoyable for all students, as I believe it is very important that the student enjoys learning, that they look forward to the next class. We often talk about culture, traditions, history and all kinds of topics that interest the student and in this way, progress is much more natural and faster.

I am originally from Reggio Emilia and I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Italian, English and German. Both degrees were obtained at the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW in Winterthur (in 2014 and 2016). For 12 years, I have been teaching Italian privately and tutoring adults and children of different nationalities (including Italians), from a beginner to an academic level. From a linguistic point of view, my strengths are an in-depth knowledge of Italian grammar plus "verbal creativity" (use of synonyms, different levels of connotation and register, specialized languages, ...).

My aim is to help my students reach their goals, whatever it might be. I don't insist too much on the achievement of certain levels (A/B/C), but I focus on the needs and preferences of each individual, which can range in any direction (from writing without mistakes to widening your vocabulary to getting by on holiday in Italy to understanding the logic behind a language ...). To do this, I set a first meeting exclusively to understand language level, difficulties, objectives, and deadlines of the person in front of me. This is the starting point to create a customized programme. This way, nobody will get bored: my student will play an active role in the learning process, having fun and falling more and more in love with the bella lingua :-)

My teaching techniques include an "entry test" to understand the student's linguistic "weaknesses", training in listening, reading, speaking, and writing and a "final test" to check improvements and learning pace. I select teaching materials with the students so that they are based on students preferences. These teaching materials might include translations, dictation exercises, dialogues, songs, videos (taken also from YouTube, Instagram, FB...), reading books and magazines. I am available for both live and online lessons.
