I'll listen to your needs carefully and suit my teaching accordingly.
My aim is to help you learn for real. Surely, you need to improve your comprehension skills, but fluency has to be reached or ameliorated. Rhythmic contrast, intonation and pronunciation (IPA) should not be neglected because they are part of the language. I'll provide you with material, learning strategies and plenty of encouragement.

People who know me say that I'm respectful, competent and professional. This doesn't translate into a serious and boring method. To the contrary, I think learning should be interesting and enjoyable.

I've been teaching English for about 18 years. I work with students, professionals and companies. General or business English. I was born in Scotland, but then I lived in Italy and in the USA, where I graduated in 1993. I live in Italy at the moment. I've been carrying out projects for companies such as Sephora, Sma Supermercati, Corriere della Sera and Gazzetta dello Sport, GrandVision and Walt Disney, but I also enjoy teaching students and anybody who's interested in learning English or Italian.

ABOUT ME
I was born and have grown up in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am passionate about football, traveling ( who isn't ! ), and reading books that make me want to stay indoors and read all day! But I have many interests and the most exciting thing is getting a chance to talk to you about all of them and finding out about your interests too. ME AS A TEACHER
I have completed the 120 hour CELTA course, including six hours’ assessed teaching practice at two different levels. This is in addition to my Bachelor of Arts and Higher Diploma in Education qualifications.
I have taught student's in classrooms from Johannesburg, to London and Athens from as young as 13 right up to adults. This included business people and corporate individuals such as bankers. I am excellent at teaching from pre-intermediate to proficiency and with my business background, I am ready to help with Business English. In addition, I can greatly help with any exam preparation for IELTS, TOEFL, and TOEIC.

I teach because it has always been the one thing I am most passionate about. It’s this very feeling and passion that helps me create lessons that are well prepared, with a focus on short term and long terms goals and lessons that we will do as a team. My name is Ashlyn, and I am a native English speaker from New Zealand :) I love to create lessons for my students to help them make their English language journey as enjoyable as possible! I am an online university student studying history and social anthropology.

I have two years of teaching experience in private English language schools, and I also have a CELTA certificate. Therefore, I know how to teach English effectively and create lessons to practice speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.

I was born in İstanbul and I lived there. I hold a bachelor degree in cinema and television at İstanbul Şehir University. During my university years, my stories have been published in major Turkish literary magazines. After my graduation I have been specializing in children's book illustration and literature. I founded children's book publishing house in Turkey. The name is Yıldız Tozu Publishing and my books were released. I worked as an editor-in-chief in the company. I was finding books in the world and I was publishing them in Turkish. I am practically and professionally working on Turkish language and literature. Later on, I moved France to continue my education and works about literature and art. Currently, I am learning french.

I have experience in teaching Turkish in years. Furthermore, I speak English very well (TOEFL B2) and French (B1) it is advantage for students who are beginners.

Here my methodology when I teach Turkish:

I will use the grammar books and my presentations, time to time.

For speaking practice: illustrations, daily conversations
For listening practice: Turkish songs, movies, series
For reading practice: news and articles about Turkey (for advance students), stories, picture books (for intermediate students), texts from language books (for beginner and intermediate students.)

If students need to focus specific area like writing etc. I am designing my class according to that.

In addition, it is because I am using broad material about Turkish media, you will be familiar the culture and sociology of Turkey.

I have completed my Bachelors of Science in The Netherlands, and my Masters of Science in the UK. I have thereafter completed my TEFL course in Cambodia and I now teach in Mexico to a kindergarten class for children aged between 4 and 6. We speak and teach English language, conversation, math and reading. I'm aware that every student has their own needs, and know how everybody learns at their own pace. Hi! I have been teaching Italian for several years and I offer Italian lessons for all levels and all ages. In my lessons I often use ad hoc didactized Italian movies and songs, to bring students closer to the authentic language and culture and I always try to stimulate interest in literature. I try to start each lesson with a motivating lexical activization and then to analyze in detail the text (video, audio, written, oral) to face also some grammatical or cultural aspects.
