My name is Karin and I'm from Holland, but I live on the Canary Islands. I love teaching DUTCH and have done so for more than 20 years. I have a Diploma in English Philology. I also have two methodology degrees: the CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults of the University of Cambridge) and the FCTBE (Foundation Certificate for Teachers of Business English of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry).
I have taught at a Business School and ten companies. In the last two years I've mainly been giving private lessons and I've developed a variety of online self-study DUTCH courses. My schedule is flexible and I adapt myself to the needs and interests of my students so that they reach their objectives in the shortest possible time.

How do the classes work? A class lasts 45 minutes. I'll send you the materials we are going to use in class beforehand so you can print them. After the class I'll send you audios of the notes we made, vocabulary etc. My speciality is communication, from beginner level to advanced. So, you will speak some Dutch in the first class already! I have 7 years teaching experience. I hold TEFL Certification and Teaching qualifications. I use TPR as my method of teaching (Total Physical Response), where my learners not only learn but also enjoy the lesson as they are involved and participate fully.
I have experience in teaching young Learners and special needs Learners, as these Learners need much attention and stimulation through out the Lesson, I make sure all lessons conducted are prepared fully prior to the Lesson being conducted.

To understand a particular language we must look at the infuences between cultures. Portuguese language has spread to all continents, absorbing other cultures at its core. Be part of this adventure of learning because portuguese is the language of poetry, travel and discoveries. I teach the language and I also teach the culture and diversity of lusophonia. I lecture philosophy and the love of knowledge, this is the art of teaching. Language, thought and humanity in a dialectical movement. Come to learn and I will learn too. I am Maria. I am a teacher of modern and ancient Greek with 20 years experience. I love teaching people from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and I strongly believe in online language teaching as a very efficient method of learning. I hold a BSc in History and Archeology and a MA in teaching Modern Greek as a foreign language, both from the University of Athens. I have a strong experience as Exams Assessor on State Exams for the «Certificate of Attainment in Greek». My lessons are based on conversations. My method is to help you practice the language from the very beginning in spontaneous and direct conversations, using often role plays.

Since I learn languages myself, I know the difficulties and hurdles that can arise when learning a foreign language. I take away your fear of using the German language, because the best way to learn a language is to speak it!

You want to take a telc or Goethe exam? I will help you! I teach from level B1 to C2. In the course of my teaching I have specialised in students and adult learners from the age of 19 who want to take one of these exams for professional or private reasons.

If you only want to prepare orally for an exam with me, I offer conversation lessons where I give you strategies and tips on how to pass the exam. You will do a lot of speaking and learn the phrases that are most important for the exam at your level.

I'll also show you how to integrate German into your everyday life, recommend podcasts, books and series to expand your vocabulary.

Are you looking for a job and need help with your application? No problem, I give you application training, revise your CV with you and write applications together with you. I will also prepare you for your job interviews.
