Ciao. My name is Sara and I am here to use my 10 years of teaching experience to help you succeed in your dream. For the last 4 years I have been teaching Italian language to students in a top 3 Pontifical University in Rome, Italy. I was born in Rome, Italy and I graduated from the University of Rome, La Sapienza, with a degree in Asian Studies and Cultures. I hold a Master in Teaching Italian Language: Didactic Methods and Techniques. In 2006 I moved to Japan where I worked as an Italian teacher for two years. I also have Ditals II, Teaching Italian as a Foreign language Certification.
I prefer to speak Italian during my lesson even if my students are beginners. So it means that you'll speak Italian since the first lesson :-)

ABOUT ME
I was born and have grown up in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am passionate about football, traveling ( who isn't ! ), and reading books that make me want to stay indoors and read all day! But I have many interests and the most exciting thing is getting a chance to talk to you about all of them and finding out about your interests too. This is one way we will practice your English skills and together we will set goals and aims to make you perfect in English.

ME AS A TEACHER
I have completed the 120 hour CELTA course, including six hours’ assessed teaching practice at two different levels. This is in addition to my Bachelor of Arts and Higher Diploma in Education qualifications.
I have taught student's in classrooms from Johannesburg, to London and Athens from as young as 13 right up to adults. This included business people and corporate individuals such as bankers. I am excellent at teaching from pre-intermediate to proficiency and with my business background, I am ready to help with Business English. In addition, I can greatly help with any exam preparation for IELTS, TOEFL, and TOEIC.

I teach because it has always been the one thing I am most passionate about. It’s this very feeling and passion that helps me create lessons that are well prepared, with a focus on short term and long terms goals and lessons that we will do as a team. Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of every lesson:
1. Review what you covered in your previous lesson.
2. Focus on things you had difficulty with. I will definitely go over them.
3. It is always a great idea to take notes during your lessons. It helps you stay more focused on what you are learning.
4. Feel free to ask me if anything has come up since your last lesson that you want clarification on. Your questions do not have to be prior lesson related, maybe you are just curious about how to say something.
5. Be sure you have completed your homework assignments. If you were not able to complete them, make notes about what stumped you. Were the instructions not clear enough, was the vocabulary beyond your level of comprehension, were the grammar rules too overwhelming, was there too much homework for the time you had planned to spend on it, and so on.
6. Contact me prior to your next lesson if there are any issues or changes you would like to make me aware of so I can have a chance to make changes to your learning plan.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the decision to learn or improve a new language. Whether it is Estonian, English or Russian, beginner, advanced or Business language - you are in the right place.

My name is Martin and I am coming from a tiny country in the Northern Europe called Estonia. One of my biggest hobbies is teaching and educating others, that is why for the past 3 years I have been living and working in Istanbul while teaching English to different age groups: kindergarten, school, university as well as adults. I have had students from Beginners to Advanced as well as several businessmen and CEOs of international companies located in Istanbul. What is more, for the last 2 years I have been teaching Estonian, English and Russian online through Skype that gave me chance to meet people from all over the world and help them on their journey of learning foreign languages in a comfortable and enjoyable environment.

I was born in Norway in 1958. Since 1999, I have been living in Madeira, Portugal.My interests are many; music, photography, art, animals, nature, gardening, healthy food, teaching….
Qualifications & Experience
My academic background is in music and pedagogy from the Norwegian State Academy of Music, with some extra from Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, and Norway Inland University of Applied Sciences.
I have many years of experience as a musician, teaching music and musical instruments.
Teaching language is closely related to teaching music.
I am teaching Norwegian as a Foreign Language online at Folkeuniversitetet Øst, Myngel and LTC language solutions, and have been teaching at  Lingu Norge and Learnship as well. I have also been teaching at Berlitz Virtual Classroom (BVC) for a couple of years before I was Lead Instructor – Recruitment and Training at BVC.

Teaching approach
Maybe you do not speak one word of Norwegian. Maybe you just want to practice speaking, or need grammar corrections.
Lessons are customized to fit the student’s need, with the reason why they want to learn Norwegian in mind: For work, daily life etc.
My teaching approach is “learning by speaking”. Speaking rather than cramming grammar and vocabulary from a book. We may also need material to work with. Depending on student’s need, this material could be the same as what is being used for immigrants to Norway.
Lessons
Please have a USB headset with a microphone – or ear pods w/microphone!It gives the best audio experience during the Skype sessions, and it separates the speaker from the microphone. It is important that I can hear your pronunciation clearly.
The first time we meet, I will find out on which level your Norwegian is.We will talk about your reasons for learning the language, your learning preferences, the approach to take, and which material to use if any.
Before the first lesson, and regardless of which level you are on, I do not expect anything more than a new student eager to learn my language!
