ENGLISH, LO AND CA TEACHER, MASIBAMBISANE HIGH SCHOOL
I offered English First Additional Language and Creative Arts to 8th, 9th, and 10th Graders, students together with Life Orientation to the 11th graders. Also, was a class coordinator for one of the grade 10 classes, which received a 100% pass rate that year. Taught multiple subjects to students with different intellectual or emotional needs using the Inclusive Education Policy as a guideline. Observed and evaluated students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. I took part in the SBST Team in order to support not only learners with different educational needs but also, to support and equip teachers with all the necessary tools to make their classroom conducive for teaching and learning. Reviewed curriculum and devised alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding. Supported student teachers by mentoring on classroom management, lesson planning, and
activity organization. Encouraged creative thinking and motivated students by addressing individual strengths and weaknesses based on standardized testing results.
Graded and evaluated student assignments, papers, and coursework. Prepared CAPS-aligned lesson plans according to the assessment of student needs and learning
ability. Fostered meaningful relationships among students through student field-trip retreats and teamwork projects. Met with parents to resolve conflicting educational priorities and issues. Developed and deepened relationships with students, family members, and faculty to promote optimal student learning environments. Attended staff training, professional development, supervision, and evaluation (CISELT,
Conflict Management, Career development Training).
