Before we even start lessons, I will spend some time chatting with you on who you are, what you do, why you want to learn the language and what your final goal is for learning English (or Afrikaans). It helps us both understand what goals to set ourselves and give us our final target, so that we can monitor along our learning journey how we are progressing and make sure we're on the right track to success.
I have had many years' experience managing various business types, as well as conducting training programs, so my teaching is result-focused.
We would chose relevant topics to use in our lessons to build the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing - I don't believe in doing mindless drills to learn.
I like to bring in videos, media posts and even use music to make the learning experience more enjoyable. If we have fun learning, we'll learn more quickly and develop strong communication skills.
