I have experience at IELTS test( passed with the score 6,8) ; Certificate TESOL ( business English 60 hours ; 120 hours of teaching English as a second language) . Hi, I'm Elena, a professional and passionate foreign language teacher. I'm a native speaker of Russian, proficient in English, and fluent in Spanish. I teach Russian (A1-C2), English (A1-B2), and Spanish (A1-B1) as foreign languages Online. I've always wanted to become a teacher and loved learning languages. I have a Master's and a PhD degree in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition as well as 8 years of experience teaching languages to adults and children. In my lessons use the communicative and task-based language teaching approaches. My lessons are tailored to every student and their needs. In my lessons, students use the language in a meaningful and natural way, enrich their vocabulary and acquire grammar effortlessly. My students do various tasks related to various real-life situations such as ordering food, giving advice, making an appointment, or writing an email to a friend. What will our lessons be like?

- HOLISTIC: We will develop all four skills: SPEAKING, LISTENING and READING throughout the class and you will practise WRITING during the homework. Writing is a powerful way to stop and think slowly and consciously to help you better understand the language patterns and find the vocabulary you need to express whatever you want at a relaxed pace.
We will work on PRONUNCIATION because it not only allows you to sound more natural and to be understood but to understand the foreign speech better.

I’ve always been addicted to learning foreign languages, be it English, German, Spanish, Turkish or Arabic, so turning my passion into my job was just a matter of time. I have a Master’s degree in linguistics which taught me to understand the way the mechanism of a language works and thus to help my students see the logics behind the grammar rules. Being a constant language learner enables me to see the process from both sides and to predict the difficulties my students might face. The fact that I’m not a native speaker of English or German means I’ve been through exactly the same language-learning journey you’re about to take, and thanks to my personal experience as a student, I can make this road smooth for you.

On the other hand, it seems to me important to show students higher examples of the Russian language - the literary language. It's essential to know which speech sounds good and to distinguish it.
I mainly rely on conversational practice. However, as to their homework, I strongly recommend students to listen to Russian speech using various videos and podcasts, and I give them four special techniques for working with these types of materials. I firmly believe that listening can create the basis for future communication skills. There's no doubt that children begin to speak imitating the speech of their parents.
During my lessons I use "Russian in Exercises" written by S.A. Khavronina and A.I. Shirochenskaya - a book published in 2014, which became a bestseller among those who teach Russian as a foreign language, "53 Models of Russian Grammar" by T.M. Dorofeeva and M.N. Lebedeva, various exercises, tables and games, as well as interviewing and retelling.

As a teacher :
I got a Bachelor Degree in Sociology - Science of Education.
I was also volunteer in associations, teaching French to migrants. I did several trip, and get use to give private classes abroad, especially in Iran and in Egypt. I eventually had a degree in FLE (French foreign language), to be able to teach professionally, what I did for several years in a company.
Those experiences led my to work with heterogeneous audiences, children and adults, of different level.

My method :
I rely on my learning experience to target the notions the student should get in priority. Then I use my own made courses for private classes.
