I use the Krashen's natural method based on the reproduction of the natural process of language learning. I can also teach aspects of Italian culture, art and literature. Hello! My name is Benedetta, I am 21 years old and I am Italian. I study political science at the University of Bari. I have always been... very curious and passionate about languages, which is why I attended a linguistic high school, where I studied English, French and German. In addition, I lived 6 months in Germany and I am currently on Erasmus in Austria, in Innsbruck. I am an English (ESL) and Italian (ISL) teacher working at a multinational company operating in the language learning market, with training... centers all over the world. I have earned a Master's Degree in Pedagogy from the Faculty of Education at the University of Bologna and I have several years of experience in education, working in different fields and holding various positions, such as school tutor, pedagogue, and teacher at a language learning center, working with adults (e.g. Corporate/Business English) and children/teenagers at public/private schools (from pre-school to high school). I have also studied in France (Universitè Paris X), USA (Vassar College, NY), experiences that have led me to have a high command of English and French. During my university years, I also participated in pedagogical research projects abroad, in particular in Sweden and New York, to study different educational approaches with pre-school children. Thanks to these experiences I have developed a pedagogical method that can be adapted to the specific needs of adults and children, helping them to find the learning method that best suits their necessities. My methodology is based on learning by doing, i.e. learning through action: the student is placed in the center of the learning process, in a context in which they will be led to put into practice the skills they have acquired, even in the case of beginners, through a real immersion in the English/Italian language. Lessons are conducted entirely in English to allow the students to strengthen their speaking, reading, and listening comprehension skills since the very beginning of the course. My lessons are tailored to the specific needs of the students and the material I use is diverse, stimulating, and interactive. I live in Italy in a lovely little town called Monate near a small lake of the same name, just 40 minutes by car from Milan. The aim of the lessons will not be learning generic Italian but to learn Italian according to the needs of every student. Each lesson will be personalized and designed to match students’ interests, linguistic level and learning style.Every lesson will be planned around a text, which could either be a written piece, an audio segment or a video that will be used as a focal point for both communication and grammatical study.
