I graduated from Sapienza University of Rome and I have a “Laurea” degree (Old Italian university system-4 years) in Foreign Languages and... Literatures (Japanese and Chinese) , a teaching qualification (Ditals II) and more than 20 years of experience teaching Italian to individual and groups in Italy, Japan and Australia. I organize my lessons, plan my activities and develop my management approaches by considering the learning styles, abilities and needs of my students. I don't teach just grammar in a traditional way but I try to provide opportunities for my students to engage in real-life communication in Italian. I believe that it is important for a foreign language teacher to inspire confidence in his/her students in order to make them feel comfortable expressing themselves regardless of their level of ability. I spent ten years of my life in the UK where I obtained a Masters and a PhD from the University of Oxford complementing my research activities with teaching. After graduating I managed to realize my biggest dream and for many years now I have been teaching Italian to foreigners. I have taught students of all ages and in many countries around the world through online or presence classes. My favorite method is Learning by doing, we learn by talking and simulating real-life situations, but also singing and cooking together or in video-calling.
