Hi everyone!! I am Stefania, an enthusiastic and curious 33-year-old Language Teacher who lives in Bologna. I adore travelling, cooking and... getting to know new people, languages and cultures. I am a passionate and charismatic communicator who really enjoys storytelling and sharing. I would define my teaching philosophy to be personalised, interactive and based on posing questions and fostering critical thinking rather than on giving answers in the first place. I believe in the importance of repetition and focus on all 4 areas of competence, for example choosing a subject and adressing it through listenings, writing of texts, readings, speaking activities (role plays & simulations) so that the vocabulary and language structures can be dealt with under different perspectives and repeated / practiced and corrected enough to be memorised in authentic contexts. The use of visuals (images, colors, video etc.), games, mind maps and summary tables can also extremely helpful. Last but not least, I will concentrate on specific requests, needs, strenghts, weaknesses etc. and we will be able to define specific objectives together while having a precise idea of how long it will take to reach our goals. Ciao everyone, I'm Arianna, I'm 29 years old and I live in Berlin! In March 2020 I graduated with honors in "Italian Language and Culture for... Foreigners" (master course at the University of Bologna). I have been teaching Italian to foreigners for 2 years, first in Italy and now in Berlin, where I have been living for a few months. In addition to the Italian language, I have a C1 in English and German, which I teach regularly in public schools. My teaching methods are focussed on the student and his/her needs, in line with the latest teaching guidelines. I use a communicative approach, based on the use of the language in a given context, from which I gradually extrapolate the grammatical rules (in an inductive way). This allows me to create a relaxed environment, without stress or anxiety, where the student is free to enjoy learning in a comfortable and useful way. The materials I prefer are of all kinds, authentic or not, videos, lyrics, songs, articles, games, but in general I follow a textbook to ensure logical continuity to the learning path.
