Let me tell you my story: I am French and I moved to U.K. when I was 22 years old and had studied English for 11 years before that in a school... setting. When I arrived to the U.K., I thought my English was fine and that I could understand people speaking to me easily because I had practised speaking English with different nationalities before that. I thought I was good at speaking English. How wrong was I!!!! I had to re-learn everything. The way that I was taught at school was not going to help me with my accent or my conversational skills. Many years later, after struggling to fit and understand the way people were expressing themselves and their nuances, I suddenly found myself in a commercial setting, having to sell products on commission. And I was wondering what would be the best way for me to break through and start selling my products. I then started to listen to people I was having conversations with, with specific purposes. My first step was to attentively hear them, the way they were expressing themselves. I was making sure that I was finding English people to discuss with and listening to the way they were expressing their emotions, how they were agreeing and disagreeing, how they were greeting others in a business manner, how they were expressing themselves when they wanted something. My second step was to use and reproduce what I had heard from them as much as possible in different settings and look for the reactions of the people in front of me. This technique was very rewarding in my case and I made huge progress at the time. A few years later, and still living in England, I started building my own online tutoring and teaching business in my own language French, offering my skills and experience to students. I have been working this business since 2012 (part time as a new mum) and became really serious from 2017 when I worked with primary schools, companies, private customers, children (7-9), retired people, adults beginners, advanced, libraries reading sessions, baby groups. I was working on building conversations and developing my students's skills towards grammar like the tenses and their uses, prepositions, spelling,.... Anything you can think of, I have worked and developed systems towards helping my students and I have had fantastic results with people working with me every single week for over 2 years. By the way, my son who is now 10 is fully bilingual so I have tips on that too. Life changes have happened and I have slightly stopped my activities wondering if I was doing the right thing and if I could do something else because I am a people person and wanted to develop myself even further. Coming back to now and the purpose of this text, I am now back to my first love (languages) with a little extra (I do work on trauma release if necessary) offering free 15 minutes chats (video calls) to discuss how I could help you move forward in your apprenticeship of the French language and remove all your blocks and fears to help you move forward. feel free to connect on messenger, whatsapp, viber, whichever way works for you and see where that would lead you. My way of work will push you to the limit and will help you reach the level of knowledge you are looking for very quickly. You will be able to work with the momentum going, fully immersed in conversations with me, a native and experienced tutor who will pick up on every single mistake you will make. Whatever your level, you will become clear at where you are, you will gain confidence in your abilities and you will start flowing in the possibilities created when learning a foreign language. Hello, I have been teaching languages for more than 20 years (I studied Modern languages at University in Madrid, Zürich and Brussels). I... worked as a language teacher at Berlitz International School for 10 years and then I became freelance. I use a very efficient method and I have experience both with adults and children. The principle I use when I teach is to bear in mind that when children learn to speak in their mother tongue they don't need to know 'a lot of grammar'. That is why, from the very beginning of my lesson, I speak with my students in the target language. I have chosen to give my lessons online so I can avoid losing time in traffic. Also, this allows me to have pupils in different countries: France, Belgium, Switzerland, ... I give a free trial lesson (which lasts about 30 min) in order to make known my method and on the other hand to get to know your needs better. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need more information. Read more

I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have been an educator in the Ann Arbor area since 2000. That is when I graduated from the... University of Michigan. Later, I obtained a Master’s Degree in school counseling from Eastern Michigan University. In the years that followed, I taught English, theater, Spanish, and spent ten years as a high school counselor in Ann Arbor. Now, I live near Ann Arbor with my wife, daughter, son, and our dog, Pomzilla. We say he is part Husky, part Pomeranian, and part Godzilla! That's how we made his name. I have lived in the US and Spain and have traveled to South America and Europe. Someday I would also love to visit Asia, Australia, and Africa. When I can, I love to go to baseball games in Detroit, Michigan. I would love to talk to you about your own travels! Or we could discuss where you live, your job, your hobbies, your amazing family, your cute pets, or your future plans. My teaching style is fun and I focus more on conversational English. I love to joke and have fun in lessons. I would also love to work with you on your writing. I used to do a lot of creative writing. I wrote and published a poem, two plays, a screenplay, and a novel. If you are interested, check out my website at www.endinginangels.com . If you have material from school or somewhere else we could work on that together. I am flexible and want to help students however I can. I know that learning a new language can be scary. One group I know I can really help are people applying to universities. You DO NOT have to be in this group to meet with me. This is just one area I know a lot about. Harvard! Stanford! Yale! Duke! Northwestern! And my personal favorite, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor! Go blue! I have helped hundreds of my students gain admission to these highly selective universities as well as dozens of other schools across the US and around the world, from Ivy League to less selective state schools to community colleges with open admissions! We can discuss the application process, examine possible essay prompts, write/revise essay drafts, and explore strategies for maximizing chance of admission into universities, and look at financial aid. If you are working on SAT or ACT preparation, I can help you with this too! I helped hundreds of students with their college applications. Many of them would go on to the University of Michigan or Washtenaw Community College in our city, while others went to Oregon, UCLA, MIT, Brown, Ohio State, and many other great colleges. I believe I can use my expertise to help you improve your writing and conversation skills. We can talk about applying to universities, or about your trip to Australia last year, or your apartment in Paris, or your job as a scuba diver, or movies, or your grandmother, or your dog, or your future trip to Mars! I can’t wait to meet you! Read more
