Hi My name is Pascale a Dutch native speaker from Amsterdam. My second language is English and I speak several more, because I am fascinated by... languages. I believe in fun and using different accustomed approaches during our lessons to keep you motivated and to build confidence in a realistic setting. I help you to use short clear sentences that are easy to remember. Learning a new language can open so many doors and it can be life changing. It is the best investment you can ever make. I have been teaching English and Dutch online since 2014 to adults and teenagers from entry to advanced levels as a tutor. I can help you with: - fluency - pronunciation including accent reduction - grammar - writing - listening skills - conversational skills - vocabulary preparation for: - job application - NT2 exams Reading an article and discussing it, dialogues, describing videos, listening to videos, listening to music, having a free conversation, using official learning books according to the international standards; it is all possible. It is important to me to make my students feel comfortable and to have fun during the class, as I believe it's the best motivation to improve and to get the most out of it. My mission is to get you speaking with confidence and correct pronunciation as soon as possible about topics that are relevant to you! Let's be honest. I am an outgoing person and take self-initiative. I was brought up in a bilingual environment where English & Maltese were her main... languages. I have also lived and taught for a couple of years in Cambridge, England. I graduated as a teacher (B.Ed.(Hons)) in 2003. In 2007, I was awarded an International Diploma in Computer Studies from the University of Middlesex (UK). I was given the Roll of Honour award for achieving high grades. After successfully completing a diploma in Human Resources and achieving high grades, I was given a scholarship by the University of Leicester (UK) to proceed with the degree. In 2012, I obtained a First Class Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, specialising in corporate training. In 2018, I obtained my TEFL Certificate. My goal is to provide enjoyable learning experiences to my students. I strive to provide an environment that cultivates a culture of confidence, mutual respect, promotion of diversity and equal opportunities. I believe that every student learns in a different way. Three major things characterize me: my overseas experiences (French born, I lived, studied or worked in the UK, Spain, Hong Kong, China,... Singapore and the Netherlands) my multicultural experiences (english, hispanic, chinese, india, …. ) and my passion for people. From young kids to adults, beginner to advanced, I have constantly tailor my teaching in an organic way to learn (using media, various activities), following the learner's passions, hobbies. My past experiences as a teacher are diverse as well, I taught for 8 years in a local secondary school in Hong Kong (students of various origins: Chinese, Pakistani, Indian, Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Nepali and more), and various experiences of one to one lessons in London and Singapore.
