The science is so broad that the words -"in general"- does not exist in my teaching. I prefer to work with Corporate clients, Top Management, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Legal and IT professionals. My lessons are tailor shaped taking the client’s qualifications, profession, experiences and Multiple Intelligences (MI’s) in consideration which help building rapport with my clients and give them the assurity that the lessons are being conducted in a manner to improve themselves. Being more of an Androgogical than Pedagogical teacher puts the emphases on adult teaching. Adult professionals are mostly highly motivated as there is usually a practical reason for the language training. In today’s education, English is mostly a compulsory element in the working and educating spheres. That brings me to CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). In Business English, professionals are oriented to soft – CLIL as it is more communicative focused, as they are most of the time involved in feed-back to Board members, Investors or Clients which needs excellent presentation and communicative skills. As CLIL is more an overall design than a detailed method makes it more of a system that is content driven with communication and language integrated into the learning, hence making it very attractive to involve hard-CLIL for students. My name is Jeanine Rinck. I was born and raised in Namibia. I grew up bilingually, speaking Afrikaans at home and English being the official... language of Namibia. In 1999 I started to work as a flight attendant. I enjoyed the international flights to Frankfurt and London. In 2009 I moved to Germany. I have been working as an English tutor for a year. This year I completed two TEFL courses, both focusing on academic English and one specializing in teaching English to children. I mainly teach children and young people at the beginner and intermediate levels, but can teach adults as well. In my class I focus on the fun of learning a new language, though it is important to teach the correct grammar from the beginning! I can easily adapt to the needs of every student and I always incorporate their interests. I make use of different resources, e.g. textbooks, workbooks and the internet. A big part of my teachings is to increase your self-confidence when speaking English. My methods and materials depend on the individual student's needs. I have a Baccalaureus Primae Educationis degree as well as a TEFL diploma. I taught children in both English and Afrikaans language at... different levels.
