Hello, my name is Michel and I'm a Dutch primary school language teacher. I lived in France for 7 years and I worked for an international school that is well known all over France. I moved to Madeira, Portugal and started to work as online Dutch language teacher 4 years ago. Teaching children and adults is my passion aswel as having fun with learning a new language.

I am a native Lithuanian speaker with a bachelor degree in English philology and teaching English as a secondary language. Since I was a Lithuanian teacher for American, Swedish and Dutch diplomats and ambassadors at the embassies in Vilnius for seven years, having helped them to get to know to our culture and pass exams with good scores, I can offer my rich teaching experience and gained skills to my online students.

Learning a foreign language is a beautiful and awe-inspiring journey which is not strange to me.
Growing in Europe and living in Canada has shaped my thinking abilities to see beyond the surface of individual’s potential to study. It remodeled my senses in a special way to be able to respond with tact and compassion to the needs of my students. In the same time it taught me the value of persistence and creativity. These abilities have helped me to master the art of teaching. Every student makes me a better friend, family member and a person.
So far, I've helped different age groups to converse freely, to read, understand and love both English and Bulgarian. Beside that, my students not just improve their grades at school. Some of them became English teachers themselves.

No two students are exactly alike. That's why I mostly use personalized learning method. It builds a learning experience that addresses the unique abilities of each student.
Another method of teaching that I use is Learning by experiment. In that way students learn by doing. I create experiences for them to see the concepts in action. I found out that students tend to remember better when they see and then discuss what they learn from what they saw.

Hello there! My name is Phyllis Kasala and I must say I love teaching. The love for teaching and being a life-long learner found me at a tender age of 14, since then i knew it was my destiny to share my knowledge with the world. I have a bachelor's degree with the University of Pretoria and it is a very esteemed varsity i also went further and secured a Teaching English To Foreign Learners certificate (TEFL) which shows that not only do I want to learn, but I do not like limiting myself. English may be difficult to learn and understand to a person who has no clue about the language but, that's why you have me! I make sure that I teach in a relaxed and quiet environment where the learner feels safe and free to make mistakes because we all must remember making mistakes is a vital part of learning. I am currently on my journey to enroll into my honours which will be about researching how to teach learners with learning difficulties such as ADHD and much more. I cater for all learners be it visual learners, kinetic learners, auditory learners and verbal learners which basically means I cater for all, during my lessons. I make use of creative and colorful PowerPoints that have sound and easy gimmicks to help remember what you may have learnt on that specific day. So do not fret as we will walk this journey together. Just remember I am close friends with all the letters in the English alphabet and I don't know "y" (just a joke to cheer you up)!

Ciao! My name is Giorgio, I live few kilometers away from Rome and I am a native speaking Italian tutor, certified with the DITALS Level II (Università per Stranieri di Siena).
Words, their amazing mixture of sounds and ideas, have enchanted me for as long as I can remember, along with their multiple expressive nuances and communicative potential. That is the reason why, after my philosophy degree in 2017, I started my apprenticeship in a renowned institute in Rome while volunteering in a school for immigrants. After getting my teaching certification, in 2019 I worked at an Italian language and culture center in Montpellier (France). These all are regular topics of my classes, through which I try to convey a multifaceted image of my country. I have a true passion for metalinguistic reflection and I am happy to answer to students’ questions, but I generally prefer guiding them to the autonomous discovery of grammar rules, through an inductive process. I am very patient and I always try to establish a positive environment, where errors are chances to learn and not something to be ashamed of. I believe in the importance of promoting students’ responsibility in their learning process, stimulating their commitment and valuing their learning styles. I am young female staying in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have obtained my qualification in Agricultural management. I am well mannered and very inquisitive. I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family because it is always an opportunity to learn more about myself and explore different characteristics that I have. I strongly believe in sharing and helping others. In life, we all have moments where one needs help but it is never easy to ask for help, hence why I always put myself forward by offering help. Teaching is a special role for one to play because it requires patience. I was able to learn more about my teaching ability through helping my brother and his friends with their homework and school assignments. I am quite charismatic and able to think on my feet to bring solutions when there is a problem. I strongly believe in using color as part of my teaching methods because things are easier to remember when there is color attached. I will be using mostly paper to emphasize on things being taught so that they can be studied and re-learned at a larger stage. I will be using charts and graphs so the students are able to see and not just picture what is being taught. I will also share documents and articles relating to what is being taught just for interest and so that the students are able to learn more outside the class sessions.

Join a small group of learners of 2 or 3 for conversation lessons with me. An article or video to watch before the lesson and a conversation with personalized corrections during the lesson. This option saves you at least 10 euros per lesson on Colanguage.

I can help you prepare DELF-DALF Exams or work on specific needs (as professional French).
