I spent six enriching years teaching Spanish in South Korea, where I had the opportunity to work both as a private tutor and as a Spanish teacher at a foreign language institute. Over the course of my career there, I had the privilege of working with students of all levels, from beginners (A1) to advanced learners (C2), helping them build their language skills and gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish.
During my time in South Korea, I learned to adapt my teaching methods to the specific needs and learning styles of each student. I developed a deep understanding of how to engage students in a language that's not their native tongue, making lessons both informative and enjoyable. I also helped many students prepare for the DELE exams, guiding them through the process with personalized lessons and practice tests to ensure their success.
One of the highlights of my teaching experience in South Korea was the opportunity to connect with students from various backgrounds and cultures. I found great joy in incorporating their interests into the lessons, making language learning more relevant and engaging. By connecting their personal goals with their language studies, I was able to help them achieve greater motivation and progress in their learning journey.
