Italian to foreign students and English to Italian students

Dear Students

My name is Laura, and I am a teacher, a translator, and a traveller. I love Italian and English and I love to teach them. I teach Italian to foreign students and English to Italian students.

I had my first teaching experience 10 years ago at the Manchester Metropolitan University. It was life changing. Since then, I have thaught to many different people in many different situations: Italian to university students, opera singers, enthusiasts, and asylum seekers; English to high school students and adults. Where do I get my teaching material? Life. I travel, read a lot, and watch tons of video, movies and tv series. Life experiences give me inspiration for class activities. I create customized lessons based on my student's goals and learning styles. I mix grammar explanations and exercises with conversation, videos, and readings to give my students plenty of examples of words and rules in contexts. My goal is making my students fall in love with the language.

I have a BA and an MA in Modern Languages, but I never really stopped studying because I always want to be a better teacher for my students.
