I have had forty years experience as a businessman, living in Europe, North America, the Far East and the Middle East, working with many different nationalities speaking different languages, so I understand how important having good English is for for your career.
After retiring from business I took a qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and I have a CELTA certificate.
I have hosted many students from around Europe for language immersions, working for language schools in England and France. I have always been highly rated as a teacher by my students, I think this is partly due to my trying to make learning enjoyable.
Having lived in France for many years, I speak good French so that, although your lessons will mostly be in English, I can always explain and help in French when necessary.
Rather than using the same teaching materials for everyone, I will first discuss your aims and requirements with you and will vary the teaching according to your level and what you are aiming to achieve, whether it is better comprehension, greater speaking fluency, more accurate written English, or a combination of these things.
