Well, am an English language teacher since 2006. I worked at the preparatory and secondary school in Tunis. I taught general English specifically basic grammar , reading, writing, speaking and listening. In 2011 I moved to teaching at University. I taught general English and soft skills to students preparing them to the engineering cycle. At the moment, Iam teaching English to scientific students specifically teaching them how to write a short scientific article.
Since covid 19, I kept teaching my students online. It was a nice experience. I do prepare my own courses based on websites from the internet. I do have certain books that I relay on like face to face or cutting Edge Cambridge and many other staff from the net. Iam very kind and cheerful, I do enjoy teaching speaking to learners. Moreover, I explain concepts in a soft way. I take time to explain to kids every issue they ask me about.
You will learn a lot from me. We will go step by step and you will arrive to your goals. I can teach online and I can stay with long hours with learners. My methodology is based on motivating learners and engaging them. I do ask learners to start with grammar exercises. I provide learners with reading comprehension activities, speaking activities, listening and writing activities. I prefer to follow with the students step by step when they answer questions. Am an English language teacher teaching at the Higher institute of Agronomy in Tunis.
I started teaching English since 2006 as a secondary school teacher in Tunis. I kept teaching as a secondary teacher till 2011. Since 2011, I moved to teaching at university for science teachers.
I attended many workshops with Amideast Tunisia and British council Tunisia. I am also a TESOL member and I do really want to engage in presentations infront of audience when being in a conference. I usually present motivating theme that are related to language learning.
Through online teaching that I did in the past I knew how to share my documents. It was either a pdf or a word document and I usually explain word by word to students. I focus on the student’s pronunciation mistakes and tries to correct them at the end of the lesson without making anyone feel embarrassed from the other students. While teaching students, I try to ask them how do they feel while learning English. I ask them if they are improving themselves. I do ask them to have a file where they indicate their progress in English. They ask me if they have a question and I usually explain word by word what they need from me. I do take my time to correct answers and provide them with a cool atmosphere. I am always cheerful and would like always to insist on learning the list of irregular verbs. I do not leave a student leaving without understanding a single word. I always start with a smile in any lesson .
