The Fun and Versatile Pinoy Teacher

Hello! My name is Ryan Ligsay. I am 29 years old, and I am a licensed professional teacher of English from the Philippines. I am a degree holder of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and Master of Arts in Education major in English. Also, I have a 120-hour TESOL certification that I got in 2018. As regards my professional career, I have a nine-year teaching experience in the Philippines and abroad which I can use to further improve my craft. Recently, I have finished my contract as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Japan through the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) programme where I learned how to mingle with Japanese high school teachers and students and to promote internationalization between Japan and the Philippines. Currently, I am taking up Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education at Central Luzon State University Open University in the Philippines. Aside from teaching English, I can also teach the Filipino language since it is my native language. Whenever I teach, students always enjoy my class since I don't just teach them the lessons but also make sure that they enjoy learning by doing fun but meaningful learning experiences. With all the things I have achieved and experienced, I believe that I can use my creativity and passion in teaching to be able to help students achieve their individual goals.
