-Developing and implementing lesson plans and scheme of work for children. -Providing a space and stimulating environment that facilitate learning. -Organising and supervising play and work activities for children such as reading, dancing and play. -Teaching children according to their curriculum for example numbers, alphabets and songs that help develop their language skills’ -Provide one on one tutorials or attention in order to meet all the needs of children. -Assisting children with pre-writing skills for example tracing and joining dots. -Ensuring the overall safety and wellbeing of the children. -Providing total care for a group of children who are in reception class. Adhere to all policies and procedures including health and safety policy. -Design and implement effective strategies to develop self responsible/independent learners. -Promote students intrinsic motivation by providing meaningful and progressively challenging learning experiences which include, but are not limited to; self-exploration, questioning, making choices, setting goals, planning and organizing, implementing, self-evaluating and demonstrating initiative in tasks and projects.
