Zoom English Lessons with Experienced Teacher

Hello! My name is Maria and I am a passionate and experienced online English teacher.

I started my career as an English language teacher in 2008 and soon became very passionate about language learning and teaching. This culminated in a Masters degree in second-language acquisition and a CELTA Certificate from Dundee College. I specialised in Trinity and Cambridge exams and also in conversational English for practical and everyday use.

During my teaching career, I have lived in Spain, the UK and China. I also worked as a Spanish teacher as well as a Director of Studies for different summer schools in the UK. I have had students at all different levels, from beginner to advanced. These have always been great experiences as they have helped me to explore my other passions of travelling and learning new languages.

While my classes are 100% in English, I can also speak Spanish and some Italian words. This gives me a real insight as to why students make certain mistakes, and how to best avoid them. I really enjoy teaching and helping people improve and grow in confidence. I am currently learning Chinese (very difficult!) so I know how difficult language learning can be, but with well-structured and enjoyable classes, it becomes easy!

We all learn at different paces and in different ways. My job is to give you the tools to learn and enjoy the process. Are you ready?
