I am a dynamic, reliable, and experienced teacher of 44 years old. I like challenges and learning new things. I studied at the Faculty of Education in Ghent. I graduated in 1998. I worked as a homeroom teacher in Belgium for 19 years. I have experience in all grades from 1st to the 6th, as well as as a caring teacher. I can provide you with my references if you wish. Since 2017 I have been working as an English teacher in an international school (IB school) in Bursa, Turkey. Since this school year, I am also the head of the English department for the primary school. I moved from Belgium to Turkey with my husband and two children because of my husband's job.
I am good at determining the level of students and developing a curriculum (for a group or individual) that raises the level of the student(s) in small phases. The phases can be as short or as long as necessary, depending on the learning tempo of the student. I have experience in (online) teaching of both (classroom) groups and individuals. For online education I have (interactive) powerpoints, online board games, (online) worksheets, Google documents and many WEB 2.0 tools (e.g. Mindmap, Canva, Padlet, Google Forms, Kahoot, Quizizz, Wordwall, Bamboozle, ... )
