Cheers!
My name is Nikos Poulopoulos and I've been teaching Greek (and English) at the University level (Harvard, McGill, UMSL) for the past 15 years. I believe that a key element in pedagogy and language acquisition, whether live in a classroom, or online via e-learning tools and platforms, is keeping the participants highly motivated and as possibly immersed in the elements and the challenges of the new language and culture they are embracing. My personal philosophy of student engagement brings dialogic and performative exercises, visual and cultural titbits, and the much needed digital technology into the (e-)classroom in order to increase learning motivation and efficacy. My objective as a designer of such material is to motivate my students towards a level of linguistic confidence and independence where they gradually develop a desire to learn and think for themselves when they have all the necessary tools at hand.
