Hi everyone!
My name is Bagi and I am an experienced foreign language teacher. I am originally from Kazakhstan but currently staying in Valencia, Spain and acquiring a beautiful language, Spanish.) When people ask about my nationality or ethnicity I feel a bit puzzled since I truly believe that languages that we know "erase" boundaries between countries and nationalities. So we create a new individual within us.)
I did my BA in Education Science and MA in Multilingual Education. As for my teaching experience, mainly I have been teaching English for speakers of Russian, Kazakh and now of Spanish. Moreover, I have some teaching experience with speakers of English that would like to improve their knowledge of Russian and Kazakh. I worked both at private and public schools with students from different age groups and levels. Moreover, I did some tutoring job at Miras International School where I assisted some students in Mathematics, English and Russian. I also took the position of a teaching assistant at Haileybury School (British school in Kazakhstan). That educational institution was a favourable context that helped me to expand my pedagogical skills and developed my cultural sensitivity.
In order to teach a foreign language, I use materials that are focused on building up proper grammar and vocabulary. As for conversational part, I prefer to make topics of discussion more authentic to enable my students to keep different topic going.
The most important aspect in teaching process is to find a connection between me and my potential students.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best
Bagi
