Information about Svava

I am passionate about teaching and I love people. I have a PhD in protein chemistry and a post-compulsory Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Bedfordshire. I am looking for teaching opportunities online or in Northampton. I am also multi-lingual (German, Italian, French-speaking) and I love travelling in Europe and the world. I gain great satisfaction from helping my students improve their confidence in their subject knowledge.
All my lessons are prepared before the start of the lesson to ensure the quality of the lesson delivery. My motivated language students learn to communicate with the world in the learned language and they get to understand the culture of the country. My motivated Chemistry students learn about the life in the laboratory of a research scientist while gaining their confidence in solving A level exam questions with me.

Generally, my lessons are learner and needs centred. In language lessons we focus on speaking the target language, writing entire sentences and paragraphs, understanding listening stories, movies, quizzes, understanding essential grammar, learning to use dictionaries and reading easy reader books. In science lessons all weaknesses can be discussed, difficult school homework can be done and we focus on relevant exam paper questions to overcome the fear of the exam. We focus on the understanding of the exam paper preparation technique. A typical lesson with me is one hour per week with one additional hour of homework for the following lesson, however this is entirely up to the student.

Tutoring Experience
I am teaching since 2012 and I have taught numerous private adult students including Autistic children. I have taught Science GCSE, BTEC and Chemistry A-level classes in schools and FE Colleges in Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. I also have taught numerous German, French and Italian adult evening classes in Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
