Since 2016, I am an Italian Language and Culture teacher. I've been operating mainly in India, where I worked for several universities.
Having a background in Philosophy (MA/M.Phil), my goal is, on the one hand, to teach language in context, on the other hand, to focus on what I call "the darkside" of language, o rather the collective rituals, the practices and the cultural beliefs, in which languaguage is rooted.
Therefore, I tend to priviledge, at all levels, teaching materials not specifically designed for teaching purposes: litterature, comics, music, videos, movies, social networks and so on... Moreover, I like to stress students' creativity - a lot!
Sounds challenging? Maybe! However, this approach enhance the effectiveness, in all contexts, of what is thereby learnt, as well as it speeds up the whole learning process.
