Hello!
I'm a native English speaker from London and a CELTA-certified English teacher who specialises in academic and general English.
I have a PhD in political science from the University of London, and my book on British politics was published by Palgrave Macmillan, a major international academic publisher, in 2020. It has been endorsed by leading academics as a 'key text', a 'poweful, critical account', and as 'illuminating and scholarly'.
In addition, I have a Master's degree in International Relations and a Bachelor's degree in Politics and International Relations.
With over 10 years of experience working in British politics, I have also worked as an editor, including on academic texts written by non-native English authors.
My objective as a teacher is to create a calm and friendly environment in which we can focus on improving your English.
During my studies to become a qualified English teacher with Cambridge University's CELTA programme, I had the opportunity to develop my teaching knowledge and ability in real classroom settings.
I have since been able to develop a good understanding of the specific English-learning challenges faced by students from different backgrounds.
What I enjoy the most is the opportunity to meet students from across the world and adapt my teaching style to their individual objectives, interests and abilities.
My academic and general English classes are adapted to your specific requirements and cover the key skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. These classes include homework (optional but recommended), which is marked by me outside of class hours.
