Hello
I have been teaching German for many years: students, migrants, teenagers and children. After my doctoral studies in French, I taught French and later mainly German in Austrian and international adult education. At the same time, I have also worked in the education and training of language teachers - with some colleagues we have developed an original method of foreign language learning. Creativity, listening and understanding, targeted listening and reading exercises and a sensitive approach to the expectations, strengths and weaknesses of the learners primarily characterise our approach. And above all: in group lessons we make full use of the potential of cooperation between learners.
The learning materials are varied: authentic videos and audios for the development of listening comprehension, topical articles, charts and graphs, short explanatory videos and video exercises for intonation... I am very flexible in adapting to your level and expectations. And above all: I can give you many good tips on autonomous learning. learning a language needs rich "nourishment" (understanding listening and reading texts), but at the same time moments when we understand how the language "works" ... and in between, always exercises to develop certain routines. In a way, it's a bit like learning a musical instrument. In language, as in music, rhythm and auditory perception play an important role: you'll feel that in my classes too. (It's no coincidence that my first degree was in composition at the Vienna Academy of Music).
Because I speak French very well (almost mother tongue level), also English (C1), Italian (A2/B1) and Arabic (A2/B1), I can adapt some activities and exercises specifically to your mother tongue and explain certain difficulties in your language as well.
I look forward to helping you learn German. There will be many enjoyable moments, moments of insight, moments of intense "gymnastics" (mental or articulatory). In any case, you will feel the progress very quickly.
See you soon
Alfred
