Hi, everybody!
My name is Saidy. I have a bachelor's in Philology and English. In 2019, I took a diploma course in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. When I was studying at the university, I had the opportunity to teach English in 5th and 11th grades. As I do not only love education and languages, I took subjects related to arts and design in order to implement creativity and innovation in the pedagogical field.
When teaching, I adapt myself to the students, I give priority to their needs, objectives, and learning styles. I conduct practical and didactic activities that make the process funnier and more pleasant. However, all of my classes have something in common: my students must talk most of the time. I do believe that a class focused on learning new languages should allow students to express themselves, so they can practice the language to gain confidence. In addition, I do not only teach a language but I also integrate cultural concepts to help students reach proficiency in the target language.
I change my learning materials according to the classes and to the students. I like to use videos, readings, audios, and pictures. But I would rather employ authentic materials that provide real-life examples of language used in everyday situations.
