Always Learning

My name is Cinzia Di Febbo,
I have been an English teacher for 16 years and since I was a university student I used to dream to become one of them.
I have a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature and years' professional experience.
I have taught at Cattolica University for 6 years, at Link Campus University of Malta, at Powerschool Languages, a private language school where I was Pearson Education Test Center Administrator, Pearson oral examiner, the British -owned education publishing and assessment service to schools and corporations.
My role consisted of:
- organising and running courses for both target groups of learners and one-to one;
-planning, preparing and delivering interesting and motivating lessons;
- helping students (young learners, teenagers and adults) achieve their learning aims and improve their grammar as well as their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills;
-assigning homework, and check and assesses students' work;
- providing progress test and mock test (both written and oral) in order to take the final exam of certification;
-delivering lectures in public schools to introduce Pearson PTE General certification and English Young Learners and Adults courses.
What makes me a good teacher :
I'm supposed to be warm, accessible, enthusiastic and approachable having good listening skills, a caring attitude, kwowledge of the discipline and a desire to make a difference in the students' learning creating strong relations with them.
Method used:
Lessons are focused on the students , they play an active role in the lesson being directly involved. In addition, lessons are based on theory and practice at the same time. Great importance and good practice are given to speaking and listening skills.
