My name is Emily, born in Genova and raised in New York. I am a native English speaker, but am fluent in Italian. I spent a year in Varese teaching English. I graduated with a Master's degree in Italian from New York University. I'm TEFL certified.
I understand what it is like to live between two cultures. I understand how one must navigate not only the grammar of another language, but must also bridge interpersonal distance. Understanding another language requires powerful trust because it asks you to meet someone unknown and get to know them.
