Why choose me?

My name is Christopher. I was born in Miami Florida. I graduated and obtained a bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic University. I currently reside here Florida.

My teaching career. I had started teaching about 6 years ago. For the past 3 year, I have began remote teaching or teaching online.

I had started teaching children in a 1 on 1 setting. Appropriate aged adelecnce. I have been with 3 online teaching platforms. The primary being Florida virtual school. Which is the state of Florida’s online virtual education platform .I had moved to another platform that involved a more group setting. So 1 v 4. So many of the kids who had signed up were in group settings (teacher classrooms, families). Most recently, it has been online adults. Mainly in China, also places like Russia, Korea, Japan.

My teaching style. I employ a strategy I call SMILE. Sounds. Movement. Imagination. Laughs. Energy. In conjunction with things like: TPR. Visuals. Props. Realia

It’s a combination of these tools at my disposal that I used to deploy to provide an enriched classroom environment. Classroom management is important. Especially when teaching low level students, it’s important to deploy these types of techniques. In order to grab students attention.

So things like interest Redirection. Using Props, voices, music, sounds. Celebrations, Dance, rewards. Interaction Lessons. Game-a-ified activities, choosing a variety of approaches and help with comprehension. I enjoy teaching children/adolescence more so than adults and over the years have made many little friends who I keep in touch with to this day. The reward of seeing a student grow as a pupil knowing/and witness the growth firsthand. So rewarding.

I think (especially with the current pandemic going on) many educational institutions are utilizing online learning and I think that we will see an explosion in online learning tools to help supplement classroom learning.
