Hello everyone, I am a native German speaker who has lived in Bologna for 20 years. Languages are my passion, in addition to German I speak and... write Italian and English fluently, and I have some knowledge of French. I've got a legal background, where mastery of the German language is very important. After I moved to Italy I started working as a teacher for a private school, then as an export manager and legal assistant, but I always continued to teach in the evenings. Since 2014, I have been freelancing and devoting myself entirely to teaching and translating. I work for a foundation, in a tutoring centre, I teach in companies and to private people. I believe I am able to establish a good relationsship with the students and I am flexible in adapting the lesson to the student's needs, or gaps! I usually use course books with a homework part, but during the lesson I integrate with online material, tests, conversation, material that the student brings me from school or from his workplace. Hi everyone!! I am Stefania, an enthusiastic and curious 33-year-old Language Teacher who lives in Bologna. I adore travelling, cooking and... getting to know new people, languages and cultures. I am a passionate and charismatic communicator who really enjoys storytelling and sharing. I would define my teaching philosophy to be personalised, interactive and based on posing questions and fostering critical thinking rather than on giving answers in the first place. I believe in the importance of repetition and focus on all 4 areas of competence, for example choosing a subject and adressing it through listenings, writing of texts, readings, speaking activities (role plays & simulations) so that the vocabulary and language structures can be dealt with under different perspectives and repeated / practiced and corrected enough to be memorised in authentic contexts. The use of visuals (images, colors, video etc.), games, mind maps and summary tables can also extremely helpful. Last but not least, I will concentrate on specific requests, needs, strenghts, weaknesses etc. and we will be able to define specific objectives together while having a precise idea of how long it will take to reach our goals.
