Préparation du test de compétence de la langue:
English - IELTS - International English Language Testing System
Formation:
Cape Peninsula University of Technology and TEFL i-to-i
Western Cape, South Africa
B. Ed Foundation Phase and TEFL Level 5
I received my education degree in December 2013. It was a 4 year full-time course that I attended at an University.
My Level 5 TEFL I did while I was on maternity leave. It was suppose to be an 8 month course that I did in 4 months. I finished the TEFL course in March 2023 where I also received my certificate.
Currently I am still working full time at a school in Villiersdorp (where I live). I resigned and will finish on the 23rd of June 2023. I will then move into online teaching full-time.
Expérience professionnelle:
Teacher, Departmental Head, Acting Deputy Principle
Western Cape Education Department
2014 - current
Villiersdorp, Western Cape, South Africa
I learned how to do class discipline, lesson planning, use innovative ideas, teach sport, teach extra curricular activities, set up standard tests and so much more.
I am an teacher to 8 - 10 year learners. I am privileged enough to have 43 children in my class this year. They are in my class from 07:50 - 14:00 from Monday - Friday.
I absolutely love to teach these under privileged children, but I would like to broaden my horizon. I would like to learn more from other countries. Currently, South Africa is one of the countries that ranks lowest in Education. I would like to be a change in that. I would like to see what other countries do that are better than what we do. I would love to teach children from all different countries and work with different curriculums, but I am more excited of what I can learn from the children I teach.
