Bachelor of Education (Adult Education)
Adult Education program covers all formal university program content and provides the psychology and philosophy of teaching adults from a different perspective because adults decide to learn to meet specific goals. Experiential learning is key to design lessons according to individual adult learner's expressed needs. I have successfully included psychological aspects to indirectly clear adults past learning issues; thus enabling a learner to develop confidence in exploring self holistically.
TEFL South Africa
Online course
120 HOUR Teach English as Foreign Language Course
The 120 Hour TEFL course provided a hands-on teaching experience. It highlighted necessary teaching skills in making learning fun by including learning games.
The course provided critical aspects of lessons plans and making notes to track learners progress or challenges. Classification of learners is important to address each student's foundational principles of learning. Failure to do so may contribute to drop out or designing inappropriate teaching material.
Classroom management applies even for one on one lessons. The teacher is made aware that while noting a student's progress, is important, he or she must stay in control by adopting helpful teaching techniques for various situations. The ethics of a teacher emphasis that confrontation should be avoided. A teacher must rise above any provocation by staying calm and directing discussion to the subject at hand. disruptive learner in a face to face classroom settings. Most important is being aware on potential challenges caused by student's native language which may contribute to poor pronunciation of English.
Experiencia laboral:
HIV and AIDS Prevention Project Coordinator
Action Group in Sport Association
2018 to 2010
Lesotho
I designed and taught young adults of all ages from 18 years about the concept of HIV, how it is contacted, how to prevent its spread though the behavioral change communication strategies:
Young adults - Education about abstinence from sex by engaging in sports and learning about self, sensuality and sexuality, and making informed decisions in dating.
Married adults: Open discussions about sexual issues and importance of meeting sexual needs through communication. Engaging in adequate exercises after child birth to restore their body to desirable condition. This was to respond to men's complaint that women are no longer desirable sexually after childbirth. I addressed men on becoming knowledgeable about their role on sex activity and becoming psychologically mature on this subject.
Senior citizens: Education about becoming supportive of their sons and or daughters; to be supportive in looking after orphans. Education included becoming aware that sometimes grandchildren are infected and therefore they must handle them appropriately.
My job included becoming accountable for the one million rand through quarterly reports to the Lesotho National AIDS Commission that sponsored the Company HIV prevention program.
Office Management tutoring
Old Mutual/Symmetry Lesotho
2013 ( 4 months on the job training)
Lesotho
The Regional Manager engaged me to tutor the Office Manager for the Lesotho Office on the e
Ethics of Office Management. The manager had to learn and practice functions of management for the purpose of being a steward of the Company policies. That meant to manage both human and non human resources and being accountable for the clients' loyalty and overall efforts of building the stipulated core function of the company.
I was also engaged to tutor the Secretary on communication skills. The Secretary had English language challenges and had to use office language in responding to clients, writing emails, and managing the petty cash. She was also rated low on maintaining the office environment.

Workshop facilitation for general election public education campaign. The goal of the workshop was to empower the public from the age of 18 years on how to select a suitable person who could represent their general expressed interest in the Lesotho National Assembly. The idea was to move from the complaisant approach to identifying leadership traits of the political parties.
Local Government Election Candidates: The goal was to clarify the Legal mandate and how the law articulates the role of the Local Government and the procedures in processing the communities expressed needs. The workshop expressed the leadership ethics and office management strategies for effective and efficient management of financial resources.

Design the framework for resolving the place of work conflict between the two employees and the Office Manager ( Mergence Investment Managers (Lesotho Office). The Head Office is situated in Johannesburg South Africa.
The process of establishing the conflict required the guidelines that should inform the Manager on how the communication must flow within the office and the Head Office.
The Manager did not have enough guidelines; she did not possess proactive attributes and that contributed to the junior staff becoming uncooperative towards expected joint efforts in maintaining profitable status of the Company.
Correction involved showing the Head Office that the absence of the vision, mission and value statements was a serious gap in providing management guidance for the Lesotho Office. The manager also lacked skill in communicating such omissions and realising that such matters should have been initiated by her to perform her duties effectively.
