Hello, I am Carol from Hong Kong and have been teaching in Shanghai for 6 years. Before that, I was living in Japan and Germany for 2 years. My students include adults, children and foreigners for all purposes. In March 2022, I started teaching Cantonese to 35 staff in NOKIA (Shanghai headquarter). Also, I am familiar with Hong Kong culture and willing to share with you!
*Teach Hong Kong Cantonese through textbooks published in Hong Kong.
*For elementary level, it includes self-introduction, shopping, transportation, weather, and food. The chapters are relatively short and can usually be completed in 1 lesson, and it may take 2 lessons for intermediate and advanced levels.
After completing the course, you should be able to:
1. Mastering the Cantonese intonation system (initials, finals, and tones) which released by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education in 1960.
2. Learning basic grammar (conjunctions, pre/middle/suffix complements, modal auxiliary words, etc.), colloquial Cantonese vocabularies and sentences.
3. Knowing about Hong Kong culture
