BA Dual honors in French and Italian
The principle objective of this course was to develop skills in the French and Italian languages to a professional level. This included learning business French and Italian, developing interpreting and translation skills utilising the two languages, reading and inferring advanced levels texts in both languages and learning extensively about the cultures and traditions of the countries where the languages are spoken. This course included a year abroad in both countries, where I taught ESL at a primary school in Clermont-Ferrand, France for which I received a distinction award for my language abroad placement.

This course covered all theoretical aspects of teaching English as a secondary language as well as the principle methodologies of teaching English to speakers of other languages of all ages and abilities. This course also required me to complete a dissertation project on a selected ESL topic; this was motivation in secondary language learning.
