I've had a diverse working... experience, from a Romanian summer camp to middle school in Rome and a Chinese company in Shanghai. Ever since the past year and half, given the pandemic, I'm teaching online. To start, we need to have an introductory session, where I evaluate your English/Persian level and get to know each other. Hi! I discovered my passion for teaching English 18 years ago – since then, I have been teaching students of different levels and ages in... different countries. I live in Miami Beach in Florida, but since I helped my students prepare for the Cambridge exams, I know the differences between British and American English. The majority of my students had difficulties feeling comfortable speaking a foreign language, therefore I focus on conversation during my classes; of course I will be happy to adjust if you prefer to concentrate on any other aspect of the language. Hello! My name is Maria and I am a passionate and experienced online English teacher. I started my career as an English language teacher in... 2008 and soon became very passionate about language learning and teaching. This culminated in a Masters degree in second-language acquisition and a CELTA Certificate from Dundee College. I specialised in Trinity and Cambridge exams and also in conversational English for practical and everyday use. During my teaching career, I have lived in Spain, the UK and China. I also worked as a Spanish teacher as well as a Director of Studies for different summer schools in the UK. I have had students at all different levels, from beginner to advanced. These have always been great experiences as they have helped me to explore my other passions of travelling and learning new languages. While my classes are 100% in English, I can also speak Spanish and some Italian words. This gives me a real insight as to why students make certain mistakes, and how to best avoid them.
